Favorite Things

Here are some things I use in my classes and for daily meditation

My floor cushion for meditation comes from Candi Andi, artisan made out of Denver, Colorado.  You can easily adjust the height by just squishing around the buckwheat hulls.  I used to just sit directly on the floor but my back has started to complain so just a bit of height tilts my pelvis forward and keeps my spine straight and comfortable.  Also Andi's eye pillows are sublime! for lying down/body scan meditation.

When I can't make it to my favorite yoga classes, I use this DVD for living room yoga with Max.  Max starts barking with the beginning chant which makes me laugh.  Why do you hate chanting, Max?

Kundalini Yoga, The Awakening

This is one of my favorite chants, Sa Re Sa Sa.  I particulary like this version of it because it's 31 minutes which really clears your mind to that nice "turquoise lake" that I'm always referring to!

Another chant I've used in class is Ra Ma Da Sa.  This version I love for the nice long intonations of each sound as well as space for long inhales between sections.
